WSA Mid-Year Elections

Hey everyone,

Do you wish to make an impact on the Wesleyan community? Are you interested in campus issues such as environmental sustainability, sexual assault prevention, racial justice, and/or socio-economic inclusion? Do you wish to participate in the distribution of student group funds, help groups communicate with each other, and/or encourage a lively campus atmosphere? If so, you should absolutely get involved with the WSA!

Over the next two weeks, the WSA will be holding all-campus elections. Any student will have the opportunity to run for a semester-long position and work on one of the following committees (descriptions are hyper-linked):

Academic Affairs Committee

Communications Committee

Student Budget Committee

Student Life Committee

Details about the election cycle are provided below:

Elections for the Senate:

  1. By this Friday (12/04):

    1. Submit a petition with 25 signatures: available in the WSA Office or here.

    2. Submit a 200 word statement for the online ballot to wsa@wesleyan.edu and jvansant@wesleyan.edu

  2. On this Sunday at 6pm:

    1. Attend mandatory Candidates Meeting in Usdan 110 and the following Town Hall Meeting

  3. Online polls are open Monday 12/07 at 12:01 am to Friday 12/11 at 11:59pm
