Dear Wesleyan student body,
Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather. We are now accepting election petitions from the Class of 2017, 2018, and 2019 for those who want to run as WSA Senators for the 2016-2017 Academic Year.
All candidates must submit a statement of 200 words along with their appropriate petitions before Sunday, April 24th, at 5:00PM to firstname.lastname@example.org. All interested candidates must also attend the mandatory candidates' meeting on Sunday, April 24th, at 5:00PM in 41 Wyllys, Room 114. If you cannot attend the meeting, you must notify the Elections Committee (email@example.com) 24 hours in advance with the name of someone who will be attending in your place. The elections will be held from 12:01 am on Monday, April 25th to 11:59 pm on Friday, April 29th.
Only students from their own classes can vote in their class-year specific elections. Once again, these elections are open to the Class of 2017, 2018, and 2019. Eligible students abroad may run and vote for any applicable elections as well. The Senate seats are distributed as follows:
- Class of 2017: Five (5) seats
- Class of 2018: Five (5) seats
- Class of 2019: Five (5) seats

The petitions for these elections can be accessed by clicking here. Make sure to download the petition and print it in order to get the correct format. The petitions will also be available in the WSA Office.
