The Equity and Inclusion Committee (EIC) is a newly formed committee dedicated to creating a more welcoming and inclusive environment for the greater Wesleyan community. This committee is comprised of 5 members. EIC works closely with students, groups, the Resource Center, and Student Activities and Leadership Development (SALD). The Equity and Inclusion Committee ensures that matters within the WSA , and the larger university, consider issues regarding diversity, equality, and the best interests of all members within our community. The WSA is a body of elected student senators to represent the student body, and the Equity and Inclusion Committee places special consideration on members within our community whose identity and positionally fall under marginalized communities which have been traditionally ignored or silenced. The EIC Committee makes certain that resolutions passed within the WSA are inclusive of all students on campus. In addition, the committee works to introduce and plan programming on campus to bridge connections and resources between students in efforts to combat existing inequalities on campus.
